Conway Christmas tree farm celebrates success while offering disposal tips

CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) — A Conway Christmas tree farm was completely sold out before Christmas this year.

Booth’s Christmas Tree Farm is a family-run business that has been open for decades and offers a variety of services to their customers.

Co-owner Lauren Booth said they had a great year, completely selling out of their Fraser fir trees. However, Booth said that wasn’t the case last year.

“Another year like last year would’ve broken us all the way,” Booth explained. “So I’m thankful for that and we had a great Christmas, sold a lot of trees and helped a lot of families.”

Booth said they decreased their tree order tremendously from last year after losing almost $30,000 in leftover trees.

“This year we got a third of what we normally get,” Booth said. “So we sold around 550 to 600 trees in total of the Frasers, where we normally get around 1800.”

Booth said their tree farm always opens the weekend before Thanksgiving, which is usually one of their busiest weekends. They came close to selling out on Black Friday, so Booth ended up purchasing more than she originally ordered.
