Tragic Carbon Monoxide Leak Claims Life of Former Supermodel

A suspected carbon monoxide leak has led to the death of Dayle Haddon, a renowned supermodel of the 1970s and ’80s. The incident occurred in a home in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, owned by Haddon’s daughter, Ryan, and her husband, actor Marc Blucas.

Authorities were alerted to the leak after a 76-year-old man was found unconscious in a detached office on the property. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Haddon, also 76, was later discovered deceased in a bedroom on the second floor.

Investigators have identified a malfunctioning heating unit as the likely source of the carbon monoxide. Two medics and a police officer were also exposed to the gas and received treatment.

Haddon was known for her successful modeling career and her later work as an ambassador for UNICEF. She also founded WomenOne, an organization dedicated to empowering girls and women.

The former Wake Forest basketball player Blucas has been involved in restoring the 1711 home where the incident occurred. He and his family moved there from the West Coast to be closer to extended family.
