Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado Will Grab 15-25 Inches This Weekend

Here are some projected snow totals for the Rockies through Monday morning (December 30, 2024).

Jackson Hole: 18-26 inches

Grand Targhee: 14-18 inches

Park City: 10-14 inches

Snowbasin: 9-14 inches

Alta Ski Area: 12-18 inches

Big Sky: 9-12 inches

Steamboat: 19-22 inches

Vail: 8-12 inches

Breckenridge: 8-12 inches

Telluride: 4-8 inches

Snowmass: 5-9 inches

Brundage: 12-16 inches

Sun Valley: 5-10 inches

Lookout Pass: 15-18 inches

While moisture in the next several days will come in many waves rather than any single event, the sum totals will be respectable. Weather models show a trend for warming periods through the weekend, with a very potent cold front due late Sunday to Monday. This cold front might kick off some surprise totals at the tail end of our moisture train.
