BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Good morning and happy Sunday! The First Alert Weather Day ended earlier this morning. We had a line of storms push through Central Alabama producing heavy rainfall and gusty winds. We have thousands of customers without power this morning across Central Alabama. All of the active weather is now to our east in parts of Georgia. We are dealing with clouds and mostly dry conditions with temperatures in the upper 50s. We should see clouds slowly decrease this afternoon giving way to a partly cloudy sky. High temperatures this afternoon will likely climb into the low to mid 60s. It will be a breezy afternoon as dry air filters into the state. We will likely see sustained westerly winds at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20-25 mph. If you have any evening plans, we will likely remain dry with temperatures cooling into the mid 50s by 6-7 p.m. CST. Winds should decrease as we head into the evening and overnight hours.
