Don’t tell me Christmas is over.
The older I get, the more I enjoy both the stress and the joy of the privileges of celebrating Christ’s birthday and remembering friends.
The Christmas cards are all gathered. I believe that each one deserves to be reviewed. That means thinking about the friend or relative who took the time to write a friendly message, address the envelope, and add a stamp all done in friendship for Christmas.
Attending the Christmas program at the Town Hall in Grand Rapids was a definite highlight of the season. The 1898 building is definitely a community treasure. Each person who performed did their part to perfection. As each act mastered the stage, the audience response was genuine and the community pride was radiant. The Town Hall is familiar to people who attend the Applebutter Fest.
Believe it or not, my first Amazon shopping experience only confirms my belief to shop locally. Amazon kept changing the delivery time and day, but I finally got the package. Attempting to order through a catalog was also disappointing when it was announced that the wait time was eight hours and fourteen minutes.
