The Mercyhurst Child Learning Center has announced it will not be opening its doors in the new year.
According to a letter sent out from the board of directors, the current executive director announced their leave from the organization to board members before the Christmas break.
Additionally, an incident at the learning center’s office last week raised security and safety concerns from the board.
Because of these instances, the board has decided to not reopen the center in 2025.
The letter also states parents will receive more details about tuition payments and when to pick up their children’s belongings from the board at a later date.
The learning center is not affiliated with Mercyhurst University.
This is a developing story.
