New program provides foster families the opportunity to create lasting memories at State Parks, historic sites, and museums

BATON ROUGE — Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and Louisiana State Parks, along with the Department of Culture, Recreation & Tourism (DCRT) and the Louisiana State Museum, are proud to announce a partnership with the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to recognize the work of foster parents and caregivers. As a show of gratitude, the new program provides eligible foster families a DCRT Foster Caregiver annual day-use pass, which allows the passholder, and those accompanying them, free day-use entry to explore Louisiana’s 21 sate parks, 14 state historic site, and nine state museums.
