AURORA, Colo. ( KDVR ) — A dog is safe after its owner reportedly abandoned it on the front doorstep of an Aurora animal rescue on Sunday afternoon.
The incident was caught on camera, and the owner of L.O.L.A.’s Rescue in Aurora is hoping to identify the person responsible. A manager found the dog in a carrier outside and couldn’t believe what she saw when reviewing the doorbell camera footage.

In the footage, a woman is seen walking to the front doorstep and tossing a mesh dog carrier with a puppy inside onto the rescue’s front sidewalk before walking away.
“I’m thinking he’s probably a terrier, maybe beagle or dachshund mix,” said Shani Lee, a manager at L.O.L.A.’s.
Lee didn’t discover the dog, now named Gulliver, for 30 minutes and had no idea how he got there until she went to the camera. Gulliver was abandoned and scared.
“I was mad at first because I felt bad that someone could just toss a dog like that,” she said. “He was very fearful.”
