Otters defenseman Matthew Schaefer is out indefinitely due to a broken collarbone, according to head coach Stan Butler.
The Erie defenseman suffered the injury at the IIHF world junior championships with team Canada.
Coach Butler offered his thoughts on Monday post practice as the team prepares for a New Year’s Eve home matchup with Brantford (Tuesday 12/31, 6 pm at Erie Insurance Arena).
