Robbinsdale Clinic closing; U.S. Internet expected to buy building

Robbinsdale Clinic is closing. The clinic at 3819 West Broadway has offered annual exams, treatment for both acute and chronic illnesses, school and sports physicals, first trimester abortions, contraceptive care, STI testing and immunizations.

The Sun Post reached out to the clinic. Staff confirmed that the clinic will be shutting down soon and in January they will be there just for administrative, closing-up responsibilities.

The owner did not respond to a request to be interviewed by the time this article when to press.

Originally built as a single-family home in 1925, the building has also been used as both a dental office and residential living space.

U.S. Internet is going through the process of buying it, demolishing the existing structure and putting in a private utility building. First, they needed to change the zoning.

The City Council approved a request Dec. 3 to change the zoning. Per the planning commission and staff’s advice, they the Robbinsdale City Council agreed to rezone the dual-zoned lot into a “commercial residential” zone.
