CHICAGO — Authorities in Chicago are asking for help from the public in the ongoing search for an endangered missing adult who officers say walked away from his Northwest Side home on Christmas Eve.
According to police, 78-year-old Marcial Hernandez walked away from his home in the 1800 block of North Kimball Avenue on Tuesday, Dec. 24, and has not been heard from since.

Hernandez, who is bald and has brown eyes, stands 5-foot-9 and weighs around 120 pounds.
In a photo provided by Chicago police, Hernandez can be seen with facial hair, however, it is unclear if he had any at the time of his disappearance.
Police provided details about the missing man’s disappearance in a news release shared on Monday evening but did not say what he was last seen wearing.
Officers said the missing man is known to frequent areas near the intersections of West North Avenue and North Kimball Avenue as well as West North Avenue and North Francisco Avenue.
