ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – DeKalb County firefighters spent the first hours of 2025 fighting a fire just off Buford Highway in Brookhaven. Crews responded to the Villas de las Colinas just after 5 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to Captain Jaeson Daniels with the DeKalb County Fire Department. He said it looked like the fire had been burning for a while before anyone notified the fire department.
