WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — A pipe leak in Southeast D.C. left churches and nearby apartment buildings without water early Thursday morning.
Just after 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 2, a water outage alert was issued in the 2600 block of Eaton Road between Birney Place and MLK Jr. Avenue.

DC Water told DC News Now that water services are temporarily out for about 45 customers including two churches and two apartment buildings.
Crews are working to repair the leak, and services are expected to be restored within six to eight hours, according to DC Water.
