A roller coaster of temperatures will highlight the first few days of 2025 with a chilly Saturday and Sunday before a more prolonged chill is forecast to settle in near the middle of next week.
The mercury could dip to near 50 degrees on the mornings of Saturday and Sunday with daytime highs on Saturday struggling to reach 70 degrees in West Palm Beach.
Temperatures Sunday will climb to the mid-70s ahead of a warm-up on Monday that should spike the daytime highs to near 80 degrees.
National Weather Service meteorologist Sammy Hadi said “feels like” temperatures could be as cool as in the 40s near the Palm Beach County coast Saturday morning and into the 30s farther inland and around Lake Okeechobee.
“Saturday and Sunday will be a little bit cool in spots,” said Hadi said. “We will continue to have shots of dry air, but as winds shift in response to the next front, it will warm up temperatures.”
By Tuesday, the official NWS forecast calls for a high of 69 degrees in West Palm Beach with an overnight low of 46 degrees. Wednesday is forecast to reach a high of 67 degrees.
