AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Linda Dunikoski was sworn in Friday, Jan. 3 as an Assistant District Attorney for the Augusta Judicial Circuit, according to District Attorney Jared Williams.
According to the DA’s office, Dunikoski will serve in leadership as Chief of Appeals and Director of Attorney Development. She previously worked in the Cobb and Fulton County DA’s offices.
Dunikoski’s name appeared in national news for her role as a prosecutor in the case of the men who killed Ahmaud Arbery.
On the appointment, Williams said: “We are grateful to have the experience, talent, and leadership of a prosecutor like Mrs. Dunikoski. Recruiting her to serve the citizens of our community would not have been possible without the investment our Commission and city leadership made. This is just the beginning of our renewed efforts to make the Augusta Judicial Circuit the safest place to live, work, and raise a family.”
