Tampa General Hospital agreed to pay $6.8 million as part of a class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims it failed to protect patient information from a data breach. The Tampa General Hospital settlement benefits individuals whom Florida Health Sciences Center notified that their personal information may have been compromised in a data breach between May 12, 2023, and May 30, 2023.
