DAVIE, Fla. (WFLA) — A dog saved its’ owners life after a fire broke out in her mobile home in Davie on Friday.
Beverly Murphy, the owner of the home, told reporters from WTVJ that her dog woke her up in the middle of the night after a fire had started in her home at the 1300 block of Southwest 8th Street.
According to Channel 6, Murphy said she awoke to the smell of smoke and could hear a crackling sound. She went into the kitchen and that’s where she noticed the fire.
Helicopter video shows the large-scale destruction to the home, as firefighters work to get the flames under control.
Murphy was able to make it out safely but told reporters at WTVJ that she is unsure if her three dogs survived.
