Fort Wayne firefighters respond to mobile home fire

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Fort Wayne Firefighters responded to a mobile home fire Saturday afternoon on Fort Wayne’s northwest side.

Dispatch confirmed with WANE 15 that the Fort Wayne Fire Department was responding to a mobile home fire in the 5500 block of Kelso Lane, in the Valley Hills West Mobile Home Park.

A press release from the FWFD said when crews arrived on the scene they found smoke coming from the home. Crews were able to have the fire under control within 10 minutes.

No one was injured in the fire, one person and pets were able to evacuate safely before firefighters arrived.

The fire is believed to have begun in the master bedroom but the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
