The world’s best cinnamon rolls might be lurking right down the street from Lake of the Isles.
At least, that’s the opinion of World’s Best Cinnamon Rolls , a site that names a new champion annually since 2018. It has crowned Isles Bun & Coffee in Minneapolis as the world’s best for 2024.
“The answer became crystal clear after traveling across the USA, Canada, Europe, and Asia, tasting hundreds of cinnamon rolls, and searching far and wide for perfection,” the group wrote on social media, adding that after Isles received “hundreds” of nominations, it visited the Minneapolis shop twice during 2024.
“What we discovered wasn’t just a cinnamon roll; it was a masterpiece,” the announcement continues, lauding Isles’ “fluffy, buttery dough” and “perfectly spiced cinnamon-sugar filling.”
Co-owner Catherine Veigel, who took over the shop with her husband Jeff in 2000, told the organization: “We’re not just here to make cinnamon rolls. We’re here to make memories. It’s about being part of people’s lives, their holidays, their everyday routines.”
