You can be the reason someone’s heart beats.
An Erie native, who has dedicated his entire life to donating blood, is being honored just for that.
Someone – with your type – is out there in need of your blood. And donating could save their life.
That’s why local resident Tim Campbell has dedicated his entire life to blood donation.
Community Blood Bank calls for emergency response after canceled blood drives
“I’ve donated around 600 times. It feels good that people can go the hospital if they need surgeries and there can be blood there for them — that’s what it means to me,” said Campbell.
Campbell attended a blood drive at his church in 1989.
From that moment on, passion for giving blood has pumped through his veins every day.
He has since served as the donor chair for the bank and has made a significant impact on local collection efforts from organizing drives to working on several holidays to reach his goals.
