First Alert Weather: Warmer with rain Monday before a sharp drop in temperatures

The First Alert Weather Team says this morning is cold with temperatures in the 30s essentially areawide.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • A Freeze Warning remains in effect inland and Frost Advisory at the coast until 9 AM.
  • Today will be warmer with increasing clouds ahead of tomorrow’s system. Highs will reach the middle 60s.
  • Monday will be noticeably warmer into the 70s with a round of showers that will pass from west to east from mid-morning into the early afternoon.
  • Temperatures will quickly fall behind the passage of Monday’s cold front. Many neighborhoods will be at freezing Tuesday morning.
  • Cold and dry weather stays for the remainder of the upcoming workweek with the next chance for rain arriving Saturday.
