KANSAS CITY METRO (KOAM) — Early Saturday we began following the weather as it moved west to east across Kansas. By late afternoon it arrived to the Kansas City area paralyzing the interstates.
The Grandview Triangle became a parking lot with hundreds of vehicles halted as slide-offs and crashes had occurred.

The Chiefs were scheduled to fly out of MCI around 2:30 p.m. for the Denver game tomorrow. They were finally cleared for take off around 5 p.m. They arrived safely in the mile-high city sometime around 7 p.m.
Snow is forecast to begin late tomorrow/Sunday afternoon.
