MPD: Investigation underway after man found with head injuries downtown

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are seeking additional information after a man was found with head injuries in downtown Madison Saturday night.

Police were dispatched to the 500 block of E. Johnson Street where officers on-scene contacted several involved parties. The man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say injuries sustained by the man were consistent with an edged weapon or instrument.

MPD said a man in his 70’s was arrested for interfacing with investigating officers in addition to unrelated criminal offenses. A woman in her 50’s was arrested for unrelated criminal offenses.

The investigation is ongoing.
