Madison invites residents to name 5 city snowplows, submit suggestions by Jan 24

MADISON, Wis. — The City of Madison Parks and Streets Division is asking for your help to name five snowplows.

In partnership with Wisconsin Salt Wise, the five vehicles includes one from from parks and four from streets.

The five pieces of equipment are used in different parts of snowstorm response operations, which includes roads, paths, bus stops and sidewalks and one-truck can pre-treat roads too.

Here’s how residents can submit names

Once the naming process is completed a list of finalists will be selected from all of the name suggestions for each of the vehicles.

Wisconsin Salt Wise will host an election to choose the winning names which is anticipated to start on Feb 3.
