MCDUFFIE COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – Two people have died after a car crash on Washington Road.
According to the McDuffie County Coroner’s Office, the incident was reported to 911 on Monday at 10:07 A.M.
According to authorities, the accident happened on the northbound lane of the 4400 block of Washington Road in McDuffie County.
According to the McDuffie County Coroner’s Office, the passengers were in a 2015 Dodge Journey and have been identified as Zymia Baughens, 16, and Denijah Granberry, 16, both of Athens, Georgia.
According to McDuffie County Coroner Johnson, both passengers were pronounced dead on the scene at 11 A.M.
Georgia State Patrol and the McDuffie County Coroner’s Office are investigating this fatal crash.
The condition of the driver is unknown at this time.
