Jamestown Man Charged in Newland Avenue Drug Raid

A late morning drug bust on Jamestown’s south side on Monday led to the arrest of a city man. Members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators executed a search warrant at the lower apartment of 613 Newland Avenue just before 10:45 AM. 26-year-old Jaydacius Black was located inside the apartment. After investigators secured the residence, detectives located 76.4 grams of methamphetamine, 1.9 grams of fentanyl, 52 dosage units of fentanyl, 10.7 grams of crack cocaine, 3.5 grams of powder cocaine and 2.0 grams of MDMA. Black was charged with one count of 2nd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, four counts of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of 4th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of 2nd-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are expected.
