NEW ORLEANS – Monday marked the start of carnival season. The Krewe of Joan of Arc paraded through the French Quarter, but one marching group decided to skip this year. Dianne Honoré, with the Amazon Benevolent Society, said, “This is my home; my family has been here for 300 years… We’re not all ready to just be resilient and dance in the streets.”
