The Georgia Department of Public Health conducted inspections across Food Service, tourist accommodation, and swimming pools in December. According to the assessments, only one establishment in Atlanta failed the inspection and was marked under the āUā grade.

They observe the food preparation practices and employee behaviors at the establishment. According to the CDC, these are the factors most commonly reported as contributing factors in foodborne illness outbreaks.
Moreover, the inspectors look for good retail practices. They check for the preventive measures taken to control the introduction of pathogens, chemicals, and physical objects into the food.
