Gusty winds blow through northern Utah for Tuesday

SALT LAKE CITY ( ABC4 ) – Happy Tuesday, Utah! A few clouds and isolated flurries are ongoing Tuesday morning across central and southern Utah.

Our Tuesday will mainly feature partly cloudy skies with gusty winds developing. A Wind Advisory is in effect for parts of the Wasatch Front from Ogden down through Kaysville, to Draper Tuesday through Wednesday midday.

Bottom Line?! Wind advisories are in effect with gusty winds throughout Tuesday.

We could see gusty canyon winds from Bountiful to Kaysville, as an easterly flow is channeled through our canyon areas. Down in southern Utah, stronger gap winds are expected tomorrow evening, where wind gusts could exceed 55 mph. A Wind Advisory is also in effect for lower Washington County.

High temperatures will be cooler, with 30s for the Wasatch Front, and highs only climbing to near 50 for St. George on Tuesday afternoon.

We will see the northerly flow hang around from midweek through late-week meaning temps will drop a bit below normal. Overnight lows will be in the single digits and teens across much of northern Utah with cold afternoon highs in the 30s expected through Thursday afternoon.
