Public ice rinks starting to open across Northeast Wisconsin, thanks to cold temperatures

(WLUK) — Cold weather to start 2025 means some public outdoor ice rinks are starting to open up in Northeast Wisconsin. The city of Kaukauna posted on Facebook Monday that the outdoor rink at Horseshoe Park is open, and Tuesday afternoon, two friends were out cutting some of the first lines through the fresh ice.
