The Mott Haven neighborhood in the South Bronx is witnessing significant changes in its affordable housing landscape, with two notable transactions taking center stage. Firstly, the mixed-use affordable housing complex known as Morris Court has been sold for approximately $46 million. The new owner, real estate firm RJ Block, took over the property along with a roughly $41.5 million loan from the city. The company plans to maintain the affordability of the 201 units at least until the current housing deal expires in about five years, if not longer, according to Crain’s New York.
