One person was injured in a shooting in central Fort Worth Tuesday evening, according to a statement from police.
Officers were dispatched to the Texaco gas station at 1525 East Berry St. in response to the shooting, police said.
When they arrived, officers learned that the victim had been driving near the intersection of East Berry Street and South Riverside Drive when he was shot once in the arm and twice in the leg, police said.
After he was shot, the victim called 911 and drove to the Texaco station to wait on first responders to arrive, police said in a statement.
The victim was not forthcoming with additional information and was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, Fort Worth police said.
The suspect is not in custody and a detective from the department’s Gun Violence Unit will be assigned to the follow-up investigation, police said.
