The Arts HQ Gallery announced the opening of the “IMPRINT: African Americans in the Arts” exhibit, featuring the works of local Black artists from Arizona and celebrating their rich cultural contributions and impact on the art world in general and in the West Valley specifically.

The exhibit runs from Jan. 10 through Feb. 13 at the Arts HQ Gallery, 16126 N. Civic Center Plaza.

Visitors will experience a diverse range of two- and three-dimensional artwork that reflects the experiences, perspectives and creativity of the artists.

There is also a chance to meet the artists at the opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17. This is an opportunity for the public to learn about the artists’ creative process and gain insight into the stories behind their artwork.

Admission is free.

The gallery will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays.
