Florida Jersey Mike’s Issued Warning After 12 Health Code Violations

Sub sandwiches are a go-to comfort food—quick, customizable, and, if you stack them just right, a meal that might even stretch into leftovers. Floridians have plenty of options, from classic chains like Subway to local favorites like Publix. But one Jersey Mike’s in Delray Beach has found itself in hot water after a recent state inspection uncovered a dozen violations.

If you’ve ever enjoyed a sub “Mike’s Way,” you’ve tasted a slice of history. Jersey Mike’s dates back to 1956, when it started as a small sandwich shop on the boardwalk. Fast forward to today, and the chain boasts nearly 3,000 locations, with 235 of them in Florida.

The Delray Beach location at 455 A NE 5 Avenue has been serving up its signature sandwiches to mixed reviews. With a 3 out of 5-star rating, the location seems to have had its ups and downs.

The state inspection from December 2024, tells a downward story—at least for one day.

What Did the Inspectors Find?

The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation visited the Delray Beach Jersey Mike’s and documented 12 violations during the inspection. These ranged from minor issues to more serious high-priority concerns.
