Summerfield Cinemas will remain open for the time being. It was supposed to be transformed into a Planet Fitness after the east Santa Rosa shopping center it calls home was sold. But, a deal in place to sell the shopping center fell through. Controversial plans to shut the theater down were first proposed in the fall of 2023.
