Henderson Police release results of their “Joining Forces” operation

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – The Henderson Police Department has released the results of their latest “Joining Forces” operation that targets impaired drivers

For the period that ran from December 16th, 2024, through January 5th, 2025, Henderson Police stopped 820 motorists resulting in 4 arrests for Driving Under the Influence (DUI).

Of the 820 traffic stops, 217 drivers were cited for speeding, 46 for intersection violations, 6 for distracted driving (such as cell phone use), and 547 citations issued for other various traffic related offenses.

Henderson Police Department received $179,000 in federal funding for the enhanced enforcement initiatives through the Nevada Department of Public Safety – Office of Traffic Safety for the 2025 Joining Forces program.

The grant provides funding for enhanced enforcement and education to reduce deaths and injuries on Nevada roadways. Enforcement events during the year focus on pedestrian safety, seat belt use, speeding, distracted driving, and impaired driving.
