2 women accused of stealing home, forging deed and reselling it for nearly $400,000

DENVER — A criminal affidavit describes a scheme in which two women are accused of falsifying the signatures of a homeowner and a notary in bogus a deed in order to make nearly $400,000 off the sale of a home.

The home at the center of the case was in the 1100 block of South Milwaukee in the Bonnie Brae neighborhood, east of Washington Park. It has since been razed and a new home valued at $2.7 million now sits on the plot, according to Zillow.

The criminal case, which was filed in June of 2021, remains active as Zamora and Krantz face 15 felony charges in Denver District Court…
