The North Carolina Department of Transportation is once again opening applications for its free bicycle helmet giveaway. This initiative, part of NCDOT’s effort to promote safety among the state’s youngest cyclists, is geared to ensure that kids have the protective gear they need while they’re out riding. According to a press release on the NCDOT website, the Integrated Mobility Division, which orchestrates the giveaway, is inviting organizations to apply to distribute these helmets to children in need.
