Mother still seeking justice for daughter 2 years after deadly mass shooting

MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — The Legacy Event Center on Highway 72 is no longer in operation but what happened there two years ago changed the lives of many forever including Antionette Grant whose 20-year-old daughter Quantasia was tragically gunned down at a birthday party.

Quantasia Grant was killed along with another 20-year-old, Kaitlyn Jenkins. Several others were also injured that night and it still hasn’t been presented to a grand jury.

Two years removed from the deadly mass shooting, Grant’s family is still seeking answers.

Chaos erupted at the birthday party when bullets rang out at the event center in Madison County. During their investigation police said over 200 shell casings were recovered from the scene.

“This has taken such a toll on me,” said Antionette.

Quintasia’s mother said she can’t escape the trauma and she says losing her daughter has caused unbearable heartbreak.
