PRICHARD, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Friends of a murder victim placed flowers at the scene of the crime Wednesday — a week after he was killed.
They spoke exclusively with News 5 after the accused killer spoke on Monday .

“It’s literally like a movie,” Lazarus Tanksley’s lifelong friend Kendrick Allen said. “Nobody woke up and thought that Larry would be murdered.”
According to Mobile County deputies, Lazarus’ wife, Genesis Tanksley, showed up at his house, they got into an argument and then she shot him to death before dropping him off at the hospital.
Friends of Lazarus told News 5 that the couple was not together, and they lived in different houses.
However, Genesis told News 5 that they were together but were not allowed to live in the same house. She could not give a clear answer when asked why.

“She is just a terrible person that’s all I’m going to say,” Lazarus’ lifelong friend Devante Burden said.
