50-mph wind gusts, nasty wind chills hit before weekend snow. Here’s the Delaware forecast

As Delaware finally digs out from a massive storm that dropped as much as a foot of snow, they may get a break this weekend as a predicted snowstorm has shifted south.

But before any snow falls, Delaware will be hit with a blast of wind gusts that will give the First State frigid wind chills on Thursday.

Here’s the latest weather forecast for Delaware:

What is the weather today in Delaware?

It’s going to be windy with gusts of 40 to 45 mph for most of Delaware and the surrounding region like the Philadelphia area and South Jersey, according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, New Jersey.

The highest wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph will be felt around Lewes and Rehobeth as well as Cape May, New Jersey, with a wind advisory likely for these areas through Thursday night, forecasters said.

The brisk winds will send wind chills into the teens.
