A new Apple store will be downtown Miami’s first. Here’s where and when it opens

Apple on Friday announced an opening date and location for its first store in the downtown Miami core and unveiled its sign on a barricade covering the storefront.

The new Art Deco-influenced Apple store opens Jan. 24 at Miami Worldcenter , a $6 billion, 27-acre mixed-use development of retail and residential units.

A clutch of social influencers were invited to point their Apple devices at the whimsical nature-themed banner of vibrant greens, yellows, turquoise and pink foliage, the Apple logo and an inscription, “Naturally Inspiring,” centered on the freestanding, single-story, building.

The new Apple store fronts an outdoor courtyard garden at Worldcenter, 1010 NE Second Ave., that Apple says is designed to take advantage of its garden in the city setting…
