STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The start of 2025 has certainly been a cold one in New York City. Although one can expect freezing temperatures this time of year, the chill has surpassed usual expectations.
Unfortunately, those wishing for mild temperatures will be disappointed. Recently, the National Weather Service’s Climate Prediction Center issued outlooks for the latter half of January, and judging from the forecast, below-average temperatures will persist through the end of the month.
