Meta Keeps Employee Diversity Groups

Additional Coverage:

Meta’s Chief Diversity Officer, Maxine Williams, recently announced a shift in the company’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts.

While some employees expressed concern, Williams emphasized that employee-resource groups (MRGs) and Black employee-resource groups (BRGs) will continue to receive support. MRGs foster a sense of belonging and community within the company.

Despite the changes to DEI programs, Williams’ team remains committed to supporting MRGs and BRGs.

Williams, who has served as Chief Diversity Officer for over a decade, will now transition to a new role focused on accessibility and engagement.

She emphasized that her team will continue to support Meta’s global community and the contributions made by employees with diverse backgrounds.
