Pacific Palisades couple seeks fresh start in San Diego after losing home in wildfire

SAN DIEGO — Frank Polakoff and his wife never imagined leaving their Pacific Palisades home of 32 years, but a devastating fire on Tuesday changed everything.

Their 1,400-square-foot manufactured home overlooking Will Rogers Beach was reduced to ashes, leaving them with only their two cars and the clothes on their backs.
