CLEVELAND, Ohio – For the past eleven years, the Dawson Family Foundation has distributed nearly 2,500 coats to those less fortunate, provided meals for those who are hungry and scholarships to help young people heading to college.
On Friday, with Fox 8’s Own Wayne Dawson in the midst of his own courageous battle with cancer, he joined other family members to distribute 80 more coats through the University Hospitals Rainbow Ahuja Center for Women and Children.

“Wayne and I think we feed off the fact that we are in a state of gratitude for all of the blessings that we receive so for us we just have to give back and that makes us feel good. Its almost like we are here to bne a blessing to other people,” said William L. Dawson, an East Cleveland Judge and Wayne’s younger brother.
