Power remains shut off to around 7,000 SDG&E customers as winds continue

San Diego Gas & Electric restored power to customers affected by recent shutoffs Friday evening. However, planned outages remain active in some communities, including in Vista, Rancho Del Rey, Eastlake, and areas near the Otay Reservoir, as of 10 p.m., according to the SDG&E Outage Map.

While around 4,500 San Diego Gas & Electric customers remained without power Friday afternoon, the utility has begun mobilizing its crews to patrol power lines to get them re-energized as soon as possible, the utility said.
