Law enforcement agencies search for deer with jar stuck on its head in Chicago

CHICAGO – Multiple law enforcement agencies are trying to find and help a deer with a jar stuck to its head that has recently been spotted on the city’s Southwest Side.

Officials said the deer was last spotted near St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery, adding that the deer was seen roaming the cemetery’s ground over the last few days.

On Friday, State Conservation Police were at the cemetery, along with Cook County Animal Control and Chicago Animal Care and Control, but no agency had luck spotting the deer.

“Me and another friend John came yesterday to look for it, found him right away. Super friendly, tried coming to eat carrots from us, couldn’t though. We were able to touch the side of the bucket with one hand three different times,” said Jamie Stahulak, a resident helping with search efforts. “As soon as we would bring the other arm around, he would jump away.”…
