4 Chicagoans arrested on federal drug, gun charges

CHICAGO – Four Chicago residents have been arrested on federal drug and firearm charges as result of a drug trafficking investigation.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois said the Chicago Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations centered their investigation on the city’s Northwest Side and used undercover surveillance operations, undercover drug purchases and wiretapped communications to shut down an open-air drug market in Humboldt Park.

As part of the investigation, law enforcement officials on Wednesday executed a search warrant at a home and found multikilogram amounts of fentanyl, heroin and cocaine packaged for distribution, according to investigators.

Authorities said the following individuals, all of Chicago, have been charged with federal drug crimes:

  • Jauan Brown, 38
  • Briuanna Moore, 26
  • Eyanna Ross, 21
