Metro East residents digging out of snow as IDOT continues clearing roads

O’FALLON, Ill. — In the Metro East, IDOT engineers believe they’ve got a firm handle on the snow, but there are still plenty of slick spots on the roads.

IDOT has done such a good job clearing the interstates and highways in St. Clair County that in many areas it’s hard to tell that it snowed for a second time in five days, but with many city streets covered in snow it’s easy to see why local schools took a snow day.

“I’m kind of glad schools out, but I’m kind of not because I’ve had to shovel the driveway a whole bunch,” Eva Mata said…
